Sunday, August 1, 2021 service in person and on Zoom
11:00 a.m. EST
Rev. Carolyn Swift Jones
"Living the Beatitudes, Part 7: Blessed are Those Persecuted for the Sake of Justice"
EMail us at email@example.com for the Zoom link or street address/directions.
Most followers of Jesus would prefer to skip over this Beatitude. After all, being persecuted doesn’t sound like much of a blessing, or something to be congratulated for. But when we consider this Beatitude as a call to cultivate joy even when we are persecuted, we can be assured that our nonviolent reaction helps spread the Peace we are.
Rev. Carolyn is making her backyard available to us once again. We are watching the CDC guidelines with regard to the uptick of COVID cases in Connecticut. We may or may not ask everyone to wear masks for this event. Please email us for the address and directions. This service will also be held on Zoom.
Happy are those hounded for the sake of justice, because theirs is the kingdom of the skies. – Matthew 5: 10, Sarah Ruden translation

Healing is not about curing a condition. It's not about believing something could be missing, wrong, or broken about you that needs correcting. Healing is your courageous realization of the wholeness at the heart of you. It's your deciding to live well now, regardless of your circumstances.
